Learning Resources has a brand new toy that just became available this year! We received the Hide-n-Go Fish toy to review. This is ideal for children ages 2 and up. Isabella will be turning three this April, and she had a blast discovering the fish in the bowl. The bowl looks a lot like her snack bowls, since they have vinyl flaps to prevent spills and peeping. She even tried to eat one of the toy fish. Uh oh!

Isabella was VERY interested to see what was inside of the bowl. She knows what fish are, and as soon as she pulled one out she imitated the face the fish was making and exclaims “FISH!”.

Two year olds are exploring the world around them every second of the day, and this includes determining which color is which. We’ve been focusing on our colors lately, and she’s picked them up quickly. The Hide-n-Go Fish toy includes nine fish, three of each color – purple, green and orange. One of her favorite colors is purple, so that was destined to be the first fishy she pulled out!

Not only does this toy/game aide in educating children about colors, but it’s a great tool to teach them about different sizes. This helps young kids in developing their tactile awareness skills.
Children can even pop the fishes together like pop beads. This is wonderful for building their fine motor skills, plus…it’s FUN!
