Make the Ultimate Party Meatballs for Your Next Party!

Disclosure: I received Heinz, Johnsonville and Ocean Spray products in exchange for sharing this recipe. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Is it just me or is party food hit or miss? Probably just me, as I’m an extremely picky eater. However, I have discovered a recipe that even I am excited to make over and over again. I got to create the Ultimate Party Meatballs recipe using products from Heinz, Johnsonville and Ocean Spray. This has got to be the easiest dish I’ve ever put together. You can prepare it either in a saucepan or a slow cooker. I decided to go the slow cooker route, as my pans were either dirty or in use. However, just a short two hours later, I realized my decision was the best as the chili sauce and the jellied cranberry sauce were able to soak into the meatballs, releasing it’s flavor.

This recipe only requires a few ingredients –

  • 1 12-oz bottle of Heinz Chili Sauce
  • 1 14-oz can of Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce
  • 1 24-ounce package of frozen, fully-cooked Johnsonville Classic Italian Meatballs

If you’d like to add a kick to your meatballs, feel free to add 1 teaspoon of cumin and 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper into your sauce. I decided to only go with a couple dashes of cayenne pepper, and my meatballs came out mildly spicy.

Once my family tried out one meatball, they soon came back for seconds (and thirds, and fourths, and so on). I received a gift basket filled with goodies, including Heinz cocktail toothpicks. This makes it easy to pick which meatball is calling your name, and then devour it immediately after.

As you can see, my brother thought these were the best meatballs he has ever had!
