Salba Smart Chia Seeds Review + Giveaway [Ends 11/14]

Since mid-July, I have lost an amazing 23lbs. It might not seem like much lost in 4 months, but it all adds up. I’m on my way to a healthier life, and I’m always looking for new ways to achieve those goals. I’ve heard about chia seeds before, but didn’t even know where to begin to use them…or even buy them. My local whole foods store is over 30 minutes away, and it’s not realistic for me to visit all the time. If it’s not at my nearest grocery store, I simply don’t purchase it, unless I can find it online. Salba Smart offers chia seeds for both experienced health nuts and those who are casually delving into it. Not only does Salba Smart carry chia seeds, but they also have organic tortilla chips and salsa!

We received a variety of chia seed goodies from Salba Smart. Pictured above are the premium ground and the whole seed single serving packs. The single serving packs are perfectly sized to fit into your pocket, purse, backpack or lunch bag. All you have to do is sprinkle it on your meal or smoothie to achieve maximum benefits.

Did you know?

  • Chia seeds contain 5 times more folate than spinach
  • 2 times more potassium than bananas
  • 3 times more fiber than oats
  • 6 times more iron than kidney beans
  • 6 times more calcium than whole milk

Not only can you sprinkle it onto your meal or smoothie, but they make the perfect and nutritional addition to baked goods and prepared meals. My favorite way to add chia seeds to by diet (other than smoothies) is to include them in bars and cookies. If you’re expecting a gritty aftertaste, don’t worry. The chia seeds complement most foods very well.

Additionally, chia seeds are NATURALLY gluten-free, and they contain no trans fat.

You can purchase Salba Smart Chia Seeds for $13.86 for a single serving box containing 14 packets.
