Unilever Spreads Thanksgiving Menu

Can you BELIEVE that Thanksgiving is almost here? It feels like yesterday we were bringing in 2012! Thanksgiving is the time of the year that family comes together and gives thanks for their life…while chowing down on delicious holiday food. I have teamed up with Unilever to give you TWO Thanksgiving recipes that will appear on my own menu. In both of the recipes below, I have substituted butter with Country Crock.

Baked and Buttered Chicken Tenders

Ingredients

  • 6-8 chicken boneless, skinless chicken tenderloins
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp Country Crock Original
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)

     

 

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2. Stir eggs and milk together in a medium bowl.

3. Mix garlic powder, black pepper, and Ritz crackers on a plate.

4. Take the chicken tenders and dip into the bowl with eggs and milk.

5. Coat the chicken with the garlic powder, black pepper and Ritz crackers mixture.

6. Place chicken on a baking tray. Disperse 1 tbsp of Country Crock onto and around chicken.

7. Bake chicken for 30-35 minutes.

8. Let cool and enjoy!

I can’t wait to make this delicious dish for my Thanksgiving party at my grandparent’s! I plan on making way more than 6-8 chicken tenders. The Baked and Buttered Chicken Tenders may not be a traditional Thanksgiving dish, but I don’t think your guests will complain!

Big and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Country Crock Original, melted

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 

2. Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt into a medium bowl.

3. In another medium bowl, blend together the melted Country Crock, brown sugar and white sugar until creamy.

4. Then insert the vanilla extract and eggs.

5. Mix in chocolate chips by hand and stirring with a wooden spoon.

6. Scoop 1/4 cup of cookie dough and place on the baking pan. Make sure to leave 3-4 inches in between each one.

7. Bake for 30 minutes. 

8. Let cool for approximately 10 minutes. 

9. Dip in milk {or not} and enjoy!
